| 29 | Flooded area, Amana Colonies. The flood water from the spring floods had not yet receded (July 14). Recall that the Iowa Flood of 2008 was referred to as Iowa's 'Katrina'. The flood encompassed most of the rivers of eastern Iowa, beginning the first week of June. Major flooding had receded by July 1. |
